the effect at the end of the track, is that the human hitting the ground? i might be reading too much into it. mostly i get a hopeful/somber vibe from this (and not so much falling) so i feel like this is from the perspective of the machine? what does it matter anyway, it's a nice track and the irony in the back story is well designed.

Calamaistr responds:

you were right, its the human falling to the ground. Very well noticed ;)
(not the actual impact though but the last seconds before it, the impact is when it all gets silent/end of track)

wish i had the technical knowledge to discuss what i like about these. in layman's terms, this (like a lot of your work) triggers a fairly intense sense of nostalgia. very pleasant to listen to in a loop.

Calamaistr responds:

the loop makes it good huh

i am just listening to this on repeat. haunting.

[[enters time machine]] [[pops out of timemachine in 2018, 5 years later, no grey hairs yet, gladly]] ''bruh, you liked this back then already?'' ''ha''

hot damn you went and did it again. this goes on my list.

Calamaistr responds:

thanks

nice, i like the marching feel of this one

Calamaistr responds:

its what got it its name

nice melody, i like it!

Calamaistr responds:

believe it or not i woke up with the melody in this track, i was dreaming about me being a kid and having a snowballfight with friends.

Don't think I will ever get over how good this is :)

Calamaistr responds:

someday :P

love every time you upload an 8bit track, cause all i do is try and imagine what kind of game would go with it! this is good stuff.

Calamaistr responds:

hmm, well its always under videogame because theres no other tab for this sort of style, i prefer to compose in 8bit over hifi because hifi instrumentations always clutter into a haze of sound whereas 8bit is much more accurate in the sense that each individual note is much better put to clear contrapuntal melodies. :)

Its not necessarily meant to be in a videogame though everyone is free to theorize ;)

More chiptune loveliness! :)

Calamaistr responds:

thanks (:

In a way, this sounds like it was composed by the girl, whereas the rest of the soundtrack was composed by the hero! Kinda cool when you think about it like that.

Calamaistr responds:

its a bit of a child aimed twist yeah, intentionally used a xylophone like adaption (actually a marimba behind it) for the atmosphere.

Im still considering changing that marimba/xylophone background to echo instead of being a constant, but seeing as rendering takes ages ill see about it later. Its not that bad as it is.

thanks ;)
